With Range Country®: You're On The Right Trail
Awards. Days Inn Range Country, Murdo South Dakota has been awarded #1 in Customer Satisfaction for the 2006 year by Days Inn Worldwide. Chosen from more than 1900 hotels by our customers. We are also the 2007 Recipient of the Chairmans Award by Days Inn Worldwide. South Dakota author, Thelma Anderson, said in her book Gumbo Lilies, "The West really does begin at the Missouri River." We wholeheartedly agree, and that sentiment was the impetus that led to our beautiful western themed Days Inn Range Country®. History. Recently opened in 1999, we are located just 70 miles west of the Missouri River, on I-90, at Murdo, South Dakota, named for the illustrious western cattleman, Murdo Mackenzie. At one time, these rich grass plains were the unfenced territory of the cowboy and open range for immense herds of cattle. Our goal was to design a property that would reflect the heritage of the Northern Plains; the pioneer rancher, the arrival of the railroad, and the homesteader. The result is Range Country®. This one-of-a-kind lodge is located a comfortable days drive from several metro areas, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Des Moines, Omaha, Kansas City, Denver, Casper and Fargo. We are just 70 miles west of the Missouri River, 150 miles from Mt. Rushmore National Park and 174 miles from historic Deadwood! Amenities. You will enjoy starting your morning with our complimentary chuckbreak® in the spacious, open beam, knotty-pine lobby. 41 modern guestrooms, with a western décor, await you. Our amenities also include an indoor pool/spa and coin-op guest laundry. Click here for pictures. Whether South Dakota is your destination or you are traveling through, we hope you will make Days Inn Range Country® your choice for lodging! |
